HANGING IN BETWEEN SOCIAL AND HUMAN
Hanging in between social and human
Why we have to embrace only one?
I am the segment of society
Yet I don’t get liberty
People have storms building in
For the contentment I am achieving
Why can’t they be a part of merry making?
Why are they freaking and fretting?
Hanging in between social and human
Why we have to embrace only one?
If I opt for being human
Community can’t let it happen
If I try to be social
My psyche doesn’t give me approval
Feeling suffocated why I am a human?
Or should I say why I am an Indian woman?
Hanging in between social and human
Why we have to embrace only one?
I am the helpless fish
Have to capitulate to your wish
I am the epitome of sacrifice
Lord please plant the seeds of peace
I have to hoodwink my conscience
To dwell on the social lines
