Two ways about it

 

Every time I step out

carrying my wings

on my heart

I don’t know if 

I will return back

the same day or

days later

I don’t know 

my destination

and 

I don’t know

my intention

Let’s take a sneak peek

into my life

Uncertainty at its peak

that’s what it is

Getting up to alarms

at the most weird times

Getting up in different cities

on different beds

Getting up to different views

Sometimes Goan sunrise

At other times the city lights

Sometimes scheduled layovers

and at others unscheduled

Life has two ways about it

Monotonous and Uncertain 

Make a choice

A video call in your room

tucked in your blanket

with a hot cup of coffee

and exchange of words

Or

a walk by the beach

a conversation 

with a stranger

making you feel light

at heart 

Make a choice

Sitting alone 

and writing a poetry

or 

going to places 

in a group and

collecting instances

to write a poetry

Make a choice

Cribbing, complaining 

and comparing

or 

living utmost 

in the moment 

living like there 

is no tomorrow 

Make a choice 

Being intolerant,

sad and ungrateful 

or

Being lively, happy

and grateful

Make a choice

Life always have 

two ways about it
