Life Lesson

The red blood of our holy relation

runs in the long veins of distance

Brutal time and grim situation

are the villian and menace

The war is taking place

somewhere inside me

filling my headspace

with fury and agony

Just like the tall trees

Roots down underneath

keep branches above alive

Distance is making us survive

Distance is watering our roots

leaving no space for substitutes

Every time I have to make a choice

that creates havoc and lot of noise

between integrity and helpess humanity

between obvious suffering and practicality

The life lesson I have learnt is simple

Always choose present over past

Painful past will slip and topple

when now is chosen at last

Emotions flow without dam

They erode your ground

Emotions are big scam

if they are not sound

Embrace the present

Bid your suffering

Life is meant

for living
